The stock NeoReader app on the Palma 2 reads fonts from a “fonts” folder in internal storage. Drop TTF or OTF files there, restart the app, and they show up in the font menu. Third-party readers keep their own font lists, so if you use one of those, add the font there too.

  1. Get your font files ready

You want TTF or OTF files. A "font family" is usually four files — regular, bold, italic, bold-italic. Keep them together so the reader can switch weights.

  2. Copy them to the fonts folder

Connect the Palma 2 by USB (choose "File transfer"), or use a microSD card. Copy your fonts into the "fonts" folder in internal storage. If there is no "fonts" folder, create one at the top level.

  3. Restart the NeoReader app

Close NeoReader from the recent-apps view and open it again so it re-scans the folder.

  4. Pick the font while reading

Open a book, tap the middle for the menu, then the font control. Your added fonts appear in the same list as the built-in ones.

  5. For other reading apps, use their own folder

Moon+ Reader, ReadEra and KOReader each have their own font setting or folder. Adding a font to the system "fonts" folder does not automatically put it in those apps.
