Change the sleep and power-off screens on the PocketBook Verse Pro
Replace the images the Verse Pro shows when it sleeps or powers off with your own, using normal settings and a folder on the device — no hidden menu.
PocketBook makes custom sleep screens a normal setting — no developer menu, no tapping a version number seven times like on a Kobo. Copy an image into the “system/logo” folder, then choose it under Personalize. The Verse Pro keeps the sleep screen and the fully-off screen as two separate settings, so you can use a different image for each.

Decide between a book cover and your own images
Under Settings, then "Personalize", the Verse Pro can show the cover of the book you are reading on the sleep screen. This guide is for the other option — showing your own fixed images.

Prepare your images
The screen is 1072 by 1448 pixels. Portrait images at that size look best. Greyscale PNG or JPEG shows you exactly how they will appear, since the panel has a limited range of grey.

Connect the device and add the images
Connect over USB and open the drive. In the "system" folder there is a "logo" folder (create it if missing). Copy the image you want for the sleep screen there, and note its file name.

Point the sleep screen at your image
On the Verse Pro, open Settings, then "Personalize", then "Logo" (or "Standby screen"). Choose "Select image" and pick the file you copied. There is a matching "Power-off Logo" setting for the screen shown when the device is fully off.

Test it
Press the power button once to sleep the device and confirm your image appears. Power off completely to check the power-off screen.

To go back to the default
In the same Personalize menu, set the Logo and Power-off Logo back to "Standard" or "Book cover". The built-in artwork returns.
