BOOX Note Air 4 C
Calibre
Managing your library and sending books with Calibre.
Calibre is the free desktop program most people use to keep an ebook library in order. Getting books from Calibre to the Note Air 4 C works a few ways, because it is an Android device rather than a dedicated reader Calibre has a driver for.
What to know
- Send EPUB and PDF — no conversion. Whatever app you read in (NeoReader, KOReader, Moon+ Reader) opens EPUB and PDF directly. There is no Kobo KEPUB or Kindle AZW3 step.
- PDFs matter more here. This is a device people buy to mark up PDFs, so Calibre is often just the tool that stores and tidies them before you copy them across.
- USB uses Android file transfer. The device appears as an Android device (MTP), not a plain drive. Many people just drag files into the “Books” folder in the file-transfer window.
- Wireless is often easier. Calibre’s built-in “content server” lets the device browse and download your whole library over Wi-Fi.
- microSD works too. Copy books to a card on a computer, put it back, and every reading app can see them.
