BOOX Go Color 7
Customization
Fonts, screensavers, gestures and other tweaks.
Because it is a full Android device, the Go Color 7 is the most configurable reader on this site. The catch is that “customization” here means Android settings and BOOX’s own layers on top, not a folder of files.
What you can change
- Fonts in the stock NeoReader app, and in most third-party readers, by adding font files to a folder.
- The Navigation Ball — a floating on-screen button with shortcuts to refresh, back, volume and app switching — and edge-swipe gestures.
- Per-app display behaviour — the optimisation dialog that sets refresh mode, contrast, DPI and animation handling for each app.
- Buttons — remap the two physical page-turn buttons and their long-press actions.
- The launcher and home screen — BOOX’s own, or a third-party e-ink launcher from the Play Store.
